Storr Comes Up Big
Consider the question of back up goalie answered.
Jamie Storr was considered to be one of the weak spots of the Minnesota Wild heading into the season. However, Storr has estbalished himself as a quality back up posting wins against the likes of the Thrashers, Panthers and Canadians.
His latest win against the Habs was a gritty 2-1 victory that saw the Wild play just well enough to win.
GM Grant Farhall was happy with the win, but looking forward to seeing a new lineup tomorrow.
"This was a gutty victory for us after dropping a couple of tough ones. Alex Mogilny returned and got a big goal for us but this game was really all about Jamie's efforts in the net."
Game Notes
- The Wild made a series of roster moves in order to accomodate Ilya Kovlachuk's arrival and pricey salary. Milan Michalek and Ales Hemsky were sent to the minors. Chris Campoli was recalled after 1 game down in the AHL, along with Lee Stempniak.
- It is unclear if Hasek or Storr will get the starts against the Wings
