They aren't saying "We can't blame you for being gay, but we will", they are saying "Homosexuality is not a sin, acting upon it is". It's the same as "Sex is not a sin, but sex before marriage is".
While you might not agree with it, you are twisting it to sound worse than it is.
Many Christians beleive that sex is for pro-creation within a married, family unit, end of story. That's their general problem with pre-marital Homosexuality... it's not a hate thing. The same rules apply to unwed people, promiscuous people etc. It's just that Homosexuals have done a fantastic job of fighting for equality etc so now everyone is super sensetive to them.
Let me just say that I was raised in a Catholic family, and not only do I
not agree with what I have clarified here, but I don't live my life this way. I am just trying to shed some light on where the teachings come from because I happen to have been taught this.
