Yup... they're free to have a stance on this stuff for sure. However, a lot of people aren't aware of their stance. Previously I had donated to the Salvation Army. Through something not too different from a thread like this, I found out about some of their stances and policies and don't donate to them anymore.
I don't hold it against someone if they do want to donate to the Sally Ann - they do a lot of good work - it's just not for me. There's no harm in spreading information about them though.

They have an entire page of controversial beleifs in plain writing! It's up to the donor to dig up this stuff... what their going to have a 9-page disclaimer you have to sign before dropping your change in the donation bin?
