Positives:
For a 2nd straight night Archie Irbe was pressed into starting duty with DiPietro still fatigued and he filled in by making 20 saves. The Jets offence scored 5 goals against a good Oiler team albeit the backup for the Oilers did start but none the less a win is win.
Negatives:
The penalty killing needs to be better, only killing off half of the four Oil power plays tonight. DiPietro is still not ready to play and Irbe will start his 3rd game in a row.
Player of the Game:
Defense man Keith Carney. Keith had just one assist but logged a team high 28 minutes of ice time. He finished +1 on the night, and was a rock. The Jets dressed just 5 defense men tonight.
