Afterward, Heat head coach Jim Playfair said that full participation in practice was the final hurdle for Pelech and Bancks as they work their way back from upper-body injuries. They'll be re-evaluated Tuesday morning, and the expectation is they'll be cleared for Tuesday evening's home game against the Lake Erie Monsters.

Additionally, three other injured players – Ryley Grantham (ankle), Cam Cunning (shoulder) and Gaelan Patterson (knee) – were in yellow jerseys at practice. Last week, Playfair had expressed hope all three would be ready to play Tuesday. That timeline has been pushed back to Friday, when the Heat open a two-game set with the Chicago Wolves.

Defenceman Keith Seabrook watched Monday's practice from the stands – he's nursing what Playfair termed a "neck/head" injury, and didn't travel with the team last week. He's expected to be on the ice for Tuesday's practice, and there's a chance he could be available for the weekend games.

No info on Wahl yet, but I would imagine he's going to be out for a while if his cheek bone needs surgery.
