The owner of a convenience store down the street from me is from Pakistan and I asked him what he thought.
He said: "when I was a kid one of my buddy's family was of christian faith, one day the whole family disappeared and the fathers business was looted and burnt down. the police didn't even investigate".
"It was then I knew I needed to leave that country".
