I've always liked the story behind the Polish poster for
Return of the Jedi. Apparently the artist hadn't seen the film and didn't know the plot, but he was told Darth Vader dies in the end. Assuming that such an iconic character must die in the most incredible way imaginable, the artist could not think of anything that could top Vader's head exploding. So this masterpiece was born:
