The Ed Davis era begins tonight, at long last. Really looking forward to seeing how he looks at this level, although I think it'll take a while for him to settle in. If there's any sort of power-forward who's going to suit Bargnani's game, it's a traditional post-heavy guy who can play good D and score his points without needing plays run for him. I don't expect his rebounding to be great at first as his frame looks a little light for the NBA at this point. But we'll see.

edit: you never want to place to much importance on a first shift, but Davis's first NBA shift: 4 minutes, 4 points on 2/2 shooting, 4 boards including 2 offensive, a block, no fouls, +7. Both baskets were offensive putbacks. Doesn't look out of place at all.

further edit: Best halftime stat imaginable for the Raptors: the Raptors have more offensive boards (8) than the Wizards have defensive boards (7).
