Cam Newton was ruled eligible to play by the NCAA. But what makes me wonder is they let him off the hook for "not knowing he was being shopped". But that doesn't matter per NCAA rules if a player family member, or rep tries to shop a player to school "A" for something more than a scholarship then he is ineligible and any other school in the country no matter if they know about it or not.

So NCAA, follow your own rules here and not start bending them. This investigation isn't over with. Example would be Bama, they had players suspended in 02 for textbook violations and then the NCAA reinstated the players for the last two games. But later after investigation they were given sanctions.

Why did the NCAA move so fast? They said that if they uncover more evidence they can retro act a suspension. Really? I mean really?

To me this looks like the SEC and Mike Slive sold their soles to make sure we have another SEC team in the title game. (or the NCAA doesn't want TCU in the big game) but we will really see if the Tigers get some home cooking this saturday vs USCe.
