Phew.. what a heart-stopper last night in the playoffs.
It took me nearly 2 hours to play 4 games because the slugs didn't want to play me and the good players wanted to play the slugs, so every time people would just quit at the load screen.
Managed to get a slug in the first round but the key was to keep him entertained enough not to have him quit. 6-1 and he doesn't leave, thank christ.
Second round was a good team, 95OV. I come out to a big 5-1 lead but sit back and don't go hard. I play stupid, taking out my goalie and charging at him on breakaways and he manages to get it to 5-4 with 20 seconds left. It was a dangerous few seconds but I managed to hold on.
Third round was another good team and it ended in like a 5-3 win.
But in the fourth round, I get some slug, which I'm pretty happy about so I can secure those 15k pucks.
Anyway, he has a BRTUAL connection and it's too late to quit. My timing goes to s$%t and it's a frustrating game. He manages to get a 2-1 lead on just terrible, terrible goals. Like flicks from the top of the circle that my goalie can't stop for some reason.
I desperately manage to tie the game late in the third and have to resort to one-time cross crease because nothing else works, it's way too choppy to deke the goalie.
It goes to OT, and I'm really surprised (I mean really surprised) to see that at the end of 5 mins, the playoffs can be determeined by a shootout. WTF??
Anyway, manage to score with 1 min left in OT on the PP and get the pucks.
Phew.
There's my story that I'm sure no one will care about
But this is the only place I feel I can talk about it!! hah.
