I gave this show a second chance and being fairly disinterested after the first episode. I'll admit it is better than I had originally thought. It took my awhile but I've finally come around to Rick. I originally found him extremely irritating but now that he's had a chance to develop a bit more I'm good with him. I really don't like how nothing is ever going to get explained regarding the how and whys of the zombie outbreak (presumably). It's a credit to a writer if you're able to create an interesting and original explanation of the zombie Apocalypse but if they don't want to go down that route that's fine.
One thing I can't get over is Rick's wife. Good lord she is just an awful actress, every time she enters the screen I'm quickly removed from the edge of your seat tension of the ever present threat of a zombie attack, and reminded that I'm simply watching a television show. Please kill her off, it is painful watching her and the show would be 1000% better without her.
