A lot of people don't realize that he spent a lot of his early career playing the heavy villain type roles.
A man with brilliant comedy timing and played the straight man in the airplane movies extremely well.
Its too bad that he made some really terrible comedy formula attempts to followup on his naked gun series.
He was brilliant in the first airplane movie and I was a big fan of police squad.
