Based on your response I can only assume you have a piss poor attitude and you have never done any of the defense driving things that I suggested. So yes. Again, I assume you do option #1.

Well you assumed wrong buddy and now you look like a dork for making such an assumption. Like I posted before, I do everything that you so thoughfully assumed that I didn't do. You assumed that I drive on a 4 lane highway (which I don't). You failed to realize that no matter how close you are watching a vehicle stopped on a highway approach, they can drive out in front of you at any time.
Now that you have made yourself look like a dork for making all your assumptions you are now trying to back track and make some absurd suggestion that moving over into the left part or "your" lane would do anything to avoid a collision on a 2 lane highway when some tard decides to proceed directly in front of you.
You might aswell stop now before you make yourself look any more of an idiot.
FYI: I have drove more than 750,000 km since the age of 12
without 1 collision. I have both defensive and emergency driver training. I can only conclude that since you are being so stubborn about this, that you are in fact one of these types of drivers that proceed unsafely from a stop sign. Someone who who has no concept of other drivers on the road or distances between vehicles approaching and your own vehicle.
