Hot and Healthy

Things are good in the Twin Cities indeed.

The team has been playing its most consistant hockey of the past 2 seasons for the last 12 games, and the team is also almost 100% healthy for the first time since early in the season.

A 4-1 win over the mighty Panthers, with backup goalie Jamie Storr in the nets was the cherry on the top of what was otherwise already a positive day for the Wild with Alex Mogilny being activated of IR. Its the 2nd major return for the Wild this week as earlier Keith Tkachuk also returned.

Tkachuk scored his first goal since his return in the win Wednesday, while Rob Blake, Petr Sykora, and Trevor Letowski notched the others. Daniel Sedin meanwhile picked up 3 assists.

GM Farhall was pleased.

"Getting back to back wins against the Canes and Panthers is really good for our confidence. With Alex back we can now start to really find our best combinations".

Game Notes
- After the game Ryan Getzlaf and Milan Michalek were sent down to Houston of the AHL. Farhall said the move was made for salary cap reasons and the club hopes to free up some coin so they players can return to the big club
- Lee Stempniak was recallaed to take one fo the roster spots (with a cheaper salary)
- Hannu Toivonen was also sent down after being called up to backup Wednesdays game.
