It's crazy to think that if the season ended today a team like the Patriots would have to go on the road and play the Jaguars, or that the Jets who are tied for the best record in the NFL might end up as a wild card team. The Steelers also would be a wild card team on their way to KC. I think things will right themselves here and San Diego and Indianapolis will find their way into the playoffs. Should that happen there is going to be 6 pretty good teams from each Conference in the playoffs, but it's wide open.
At this point teams like Green Bay, Philly, Atlanta, and New Orleans are all making a case for being the top team in the NFC. Even the Bears who no one seems to respect still have a pretty dominating defence. Whoever wins the NFL West will be a real red herring. But it wouldn't surprise me to see the Seahawks win that home playoff game if they end up winning that Division.
It looks to make for one of the most interesting playoffs ever...it will probably end up being a bunch of unpredictable blow outs.
