I'm not intending to be a dinkus.

But there is absolutely no way that you can establish a causative link between automatic or manual transmission usage and accident rates. If you could, it would, ultimately, be reflected in insurance rates, either to make cover the increased cost of insuring automatic tranny drivers, or to encourage people to drive lower-risk manuals, thus reducing their actuarial risk.
