I don't like the man, but he did his job well, I believe his latest stunt was to tell Quebec to get bent on a hydro project.
His conflicts with Harper were not productive in any way, but I respect the man for standing up for his constiuants.
While I doubt that he would be much good at federal politics because he doesn't have the diplomacy, maybe he's eyeing Iggy's seat of power.
