I agree there are some similarities but I think you're overstating similarities:
Magneto/Xavier was more a friendship of equals. Dumbledore/Voldemort was teacher/student, and I personally don't thinl you would really call it a friendship. Dumbledore was always very cautious with Tom Riddle, you could see it in their very first meeting where Dumbledore warns Riddle that certain behaviours will not be tolerated at Hogwarts.
With respect to the chosen one, I think it's a big stretch to assign that role to Wolverine in the X-Men. If anything I might have applied that to Jean Grey. Wolverine is kind of like the anti-hero secondary nucleus of the team, occasionally stepping up to take direct charge but usually just a very important team member.
The parallels are interesting nonetheless.
