Let's figure out how compensation for any job is calculated:
1. Unique qualifications
2. Education
3. Experience
4. Time commitment
5. Responsibility
6. Risk
That's all I can really think of for now. So based on my criteria and applying a possible 10 points for each line item, a hit would break down kind of like this:
1. Unique qualifications - Yes, I think a person willing to do this would be uniqually qualified so they get say a 10/10.
2. Education3. Experience- It would be an asset, but not required. Let's call it 5/10 for a newbie.
4. Time commitment- Minimal, I'm sure. Let's say even if it took 24 hours of planning, doing the act, then covering your tracks...and maybe we'll even add another 16 hours too account for unforseen events, etc. you're only really looking at the equivalent of one week of work. I think we can call this 1/10 which would be generous compared to a full-time, year-round job/contract.
5. Responsibility- Quite large. I'm giving it a 10/10.
6. Risk- Enormous. 10/10 for sure.
So this job would get a 36/60. $5000 for one week of time works out to a salary of about $240,000/year assuming four weeks off a year. I think that's pretty fair for a 36/60 job, even though at first I thought $5K was pretty low, too.
