I hope this game wasn't fixed, I have my doubts that this game was fixed, but deep down a little part of me believes there is a chance that it may have been. I don't know how they can do this, but I believe the leagues are in real danger of letting these type of things get out of hand. They have to find a way to prove to fans that these games are legit
true, as fans we could never prove such a thing happening, but the idea that a league could be fixing its games could prove quite disastrous, no matter the league.
I hope (and choose to believe) that some of the people saying the fix was in are just pissed off after a loss, and a some bad calls. I was at the game and the grounding call seemed bad, had no idea on the cates fumble if it should be overturned or not and the endzone fumble sucked but makes sense when you look at the rule. couldn't tell from where I was what happened on the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty but sounds like it was a ripoff.
oh well, can't take these things too seriously, or I will have to stop following sports! just enjoy the game for the entertainment, and live with the occasional bad call.

also, the CFL could invest more in the refereeing for more consistency, hopefully they are working on this, and having challenges is a start. although, I think they should remove Higgins from the director of officiating, too many connects with teams he has coached (*cough, Calgary)

this is the sad reality of gambling and money playing a huge role in sports unfortunately, in the NFL you here about these things happening to affect the point spread which causes tens of millions of dollars to change hands. also tv deals, getting the teams in with the most ratings.

ugh, after going to the game, the result sucked but I didn't even think that the refereeing played a role in this game or is a major issue, i just enjoyed the game. now after listening to the radio and reading on here It seems more important. which is downright silly!

heres hoping Tate steps up next year and takes over the starting role at some point, as Burris can't beat sask in the playoffs and makes poor decisions at times.
rant over
