Let us not forget the classic "don't want my kid teased in the lockerooms" argument. Classic.

Growing up for me, it was pretty much 50/50 I'd say. Or at least 60/40. The occasional comment tossed around but I don't recall much hoodie teasing.

never seemed to be an issue for anyone.
