You can queue the mocking if you want, but I even have little straps that connect my dogs' harnesses to the seatbelts in the back seat. The thought of my dogs getting launched and injured (or worse) in an accident is horrifying. They don't mind it one bit.
They've always laid down in the back, strap or not, and don't ever try to get into the front.
