Davis is not an everyday player. When the A's were forced to use as one, he wore down and the batting average dropped. He is a decent contact hitter, but very streaky. Little to no power. He is a great base runner though. I would say he is only average defensively. He has great speed which is great but he doesn't have a great arm and frequently takes poor routes to fly balls which resulted in some drop in for hits.
A good pickup for the Jays though, nice player to have coming off the bench. For the A's they needed to move an outfielder.
