Denver, CO - GM Faith announced today that the Colorado Avalanche have acquired Martin Stajnoch from the Detroit Red Wings. "Stajnoch is a future hall of famer
in Slovakia and we are happy to have him join our organization". Also coming with Stajnoch is Tomas Fleischmann and TJ Galiardi. Going to Detroit is fan favorite and GM favorite Wayne Simmonds, TJ Brodie, and Ray Whitney. TJ Brodie is the wild card in this deal because we feel that he will become a great offensive defenseman in the near future.

Overall this deal is looking towards the future. We have some high hopes for Galiardi and Fleishmann who we feel are future top 6 forwards.
