There tends to be a hated against the Calgary teams by the media according to CP (Or, in this case, a love of some other team).
CBC hates the Flames (Oddly enough, Weekes in particular is accused by other fanbases on FAVOURING the Flames, but it seems here he's portrayed as anti-Calgary). TSN hates the Flames (Ferraro in particular). Refs are blind to anybody but the Flames. All journalists covering the Flames suck (Apparantly Duha sucks now too).
As for all the offsides, the refs are always lenient on them. Several times both the Lions and the 'riders seemed offside. It's just impossible to be strict with them because, from ground level and in real time, it's hard to get these calls consistantly right (and consistent on a game-to-game basis).
It's just part of the CFL system, making it great (fun offensive plays can set up through it) and horrible (inconsistant calls) at the same time.
