I made this deal more for a change than anything. Umberger has been playing on the second line but this deal allows him to become the top center again. A spot that made him a top 15 scorer in the league last year.
Adding Staios actually improves my bottom pairing defense by a wide margin.
Gomez being a UFA it would of been hard for me to offer him a contract after this season. Morrison is cheap enough and has one more year left.
