I still think this phone is going to get some serious developer backing from the Windows community. C# is a really nice language and Visual Studio is probably the best IDE on the planet right now. Add in the whole Xbox Live Arcade aspect for gaming, and this thing will really take off.
It all hinges on the stability of the OS, and I think people are less concerned about that after using Windows 7 for a couple years.
