This literal belief effects not only government but how important laws and such things are decided upon.
From gay rights, to condom use in Africa, its faith without reason which fights against those things, if you are blind to see the overwhelming intolerance of the catholic church, and Islam in regards to condom use and in the case of Islam, science, then you are certainly doing right by pointing out those crazy atheists and their loud mouths  |
The problem is that these so called "new atheists" have become just as annoying as any religious zealot out there. The characteristics of an annoying Christian, Mormon, or JW are just as apparent now in atheists- overbearing, intolerant of other ideas, preachy. Are you guys going to start knocking on doors and handing out tracks at malls??? Hey, don't get me wrong, believe and say whatever you want. I just find it very ironic that many non-believers no longer want to be labelled as an atheist because of the direction that "new atheism" has taken things.
