That's a pretty misinformed post - the Catholic faith does not hold a literal belief in the stuff in the bible, not at all. The Church's position on condom use is very clearly thought out and explained, whether you choose to agree with it or not. Don't confuse the certainty of their conviction with intolerance - they have a position and they stick to it. But there's also a great deal of theology and rationality attached to it, not just a literal adherence to what's written in the bible.
