I agree with everything you've said except for this. I think it's backwards to blame the person 'driving poorly' for a road rage incident when it is the person raging that is in control of their reaction. Sure, it's frustrating when someone is pokin' along doing 90 in the left lane of Deerfoot, but we all have the ability to choose how we react to it. The struggler may be the catalyst for the reaction, but the reaction is still the responsibility for the creation of the road rage.

I have no problem admitting I used to be an Amateur Traffic Police Officer. After maturing out of that, my primary focus while driving is to make sure that I get where I am going safely, that I don't cause unsafe conditions for anyone else, and that I don't impede other people who are only trying to get to their destination (as I am). After taking this view, and reforming from my previous immature and foolish ways, I find driving is much more enjoyable and far less stressful. Less on edge.

I try not to speed, but that being said, I also try not to force my desire to travel the speed limit on anyone else. Anyone claiming "the left lane isn't for speeding so I can go whatever speed I want in it" is either being wilfully ignorant or has been living in a vacuum their entire life.
