Police Chief Rick Hanson concedes some officers are handsomely rewarded for hard work, but says the number making such high earnings is very small.
While about a quarter of the force, earned more than $100,000 last year, the highest paid constable garnered about $163,000 while the top paid detective got $201,000.
“We do have very few who reach that level of pay,” Hanson, who earns about $250,000, told the Sun.

Cops deserve every penny they get and most are under paid for the job they do.
