If you were my age and had invested 4 or 5 years, then be crushed. But at 25 be grateful and incredulous that you had a relationship that lasted that long and goes against all the rules of god and man.
Wait until you're older before you get all crushed and wrecked over a breakup. When you're young, your recovery period and getting on the next hours should be measured in terms of hours.

I tend to disagree with this as it seems to trivialize the relationships young people have the ability to get into. It's not always about the hookers and blow at 25, and if you invest 3 years into a relationship, whether you're a brittle old man, or a young sprout, it shows you're committed to it and actually, generally, in love. Have a woman cheat on you at 25 or 45, after 3+ years together, and it's going to take longer than a few hours to get over it.
