I'm thinking by them not picking up the option on Gregg, it is meaning a changing of the guard in the back end. While relatively cheap, Gregg was a heart attack waiting to happen in the 9th inning.

I read somewhere that Rzepczynski was throwing in the AFL and rumors about him coming in out of the bullpen next year. While it is more likely that he'll be in long relief, John Smoltz made the transition from starter to closer... so you never know. If anything, the later inning guys are going to look a whole lot different next year with Frasor and Downs set to walk as well.
