Oh and did anyone see the Obama interview? Filled the entire show and was probably the most engaging interview I've ever seen and I watch the Daily Show religiously and have for years.
Usually I find that Jon interupts his guest a little too much or comes off a little overpowering with his own views. Not that I don't think he's excellent at interacting with his guests most of the time. But with Obama, Jon really let him talk and made the interview so strong. He did make a few jokes here and there but it didn't totally ruin the mood of the interview.
Naturally some media sources, including several major news outlets in the states, made a huge deal out of the tension and had headlines like "Rough ride for Obama on Daily Show". Stuff that is nothing but sensationalism. Another article said that the biggest controversy coming out of the interview was the so called gaffe by Obama when he used the term "heck of a job" because that's what Bush said about the Katrina disaster efforts.
Not surprising at all that the same media outlets that Stewart is making obsolete were the ones that had to resort to sensationalism and not actually focusing attention on the issues that Obama discussed with Stewart. It is almost as though some news outlets hate Stewart so much that their only stories were about the fact that Stewart didn't make dick and fart jokes for 30+ minutes.
