Soon-to-be free agent slugger Manny Ramirez is a big enough supporter of new Toronto Blue Jays manager John Farrell, that he would be willing to sign with the club.
....
"John has tremendous knowledge of the game, a very pleasant man and he trains ballplayers," Ramirez told ESPNdeportes.com. "Toronto has made a great acquisition. Farrell is a manager for whom I would like to play, and Toronto is a team I've liked since they had all those Dominican players in the '80s."
...
"I still have a lot of baseball left in me," Ramirez said. "I think that I can still bat if I keep myself healthy, and it is less probable to have an injury playing as the designated hitter."

I'm so torn about bringing the guy in. He's probably still a great talent, but such a headcase and has never not been selfish and self-centred. Based on that alone I'd say no way, but him wanting to play for the Jays is intriguing for the DH spot. It can't end well though, and will he steer the young rookies off the path...I think so.
