Good. That's the point. Selective picking of facts from a grainy youtube video and wikipedia and making gross oversimplifications in some amateur analysis can lead you to some pretty zany conclusions. This is the heart of the truther movement.
The other point I question is the 6.5 s fall time. It seems like he took the time when the penthouse started collapsing till the building disappeared behind the skyline. That skyline contains some pretty tall buildings and is a long way to the ground. So lets set the fall time at... 7.5 seconds? Seems fair.
Also, the roof doesn't fall perfectly to street level (especially when it collapses "perfectly into its own footprint"). The old building was 610 ft (186 m) with 47 floors. Using some very scientific calculations, because the numbers don't seem to be available, I'm going to estimate the rubble pile as 140ft tall. (610-(10*47)), So knock 42 m off of the height of that building and we find that the distance the roof actually fell was 144 m. In 7.5 seconds, that looks like the acceleration was 5.12 m/s^2 or, in layman's terms... nowhere close to freefall speeds.
I can fudge these numbers to prove anything I want. The NIST report, FEMA report, popular mechanics report, facts, any number of the other reports don't agree with my height of the rubble pile or the height that the building was? TOO BAD - they're a bunch of liars, remember? We need a REAL investigations.
