The Oil lost a 5 – 3 game today to divisional rival LA Kings. Coming off the big BOA win yesterday, the Oil seemed flat today dropping to 6 - 4 on the season. Registering only 20 shots through two periods, and allowing 6 shorthanded opportunities on which the Kings scored twice. Hossa registered 14 minutes of penalties this evening. When he was not sitting in the sin bin he contributed with a goal and 5 shots. Hossa remains atop the Oil point leaders with 15 points in the first 10 games.
The oil defense continues to contribute with the offence, tonight picking up two assists. One by Poti who also logged 29 minutes tonight, and the other by Rachunek who has now climbed over Leetch on the point board sitting with 2 goals and 9 assisst for 11 points.
The Oil now enjoy 2 days off were we prepare for the Blues and the Penguins up next.
