I bought my wife a canadian diamond. It was smaller then what most of our friends were buying at the time but I could always say there is no doubt where it came from and too this day we both are happy we did. I just purchased a 10 year anniversary for her that was a past, present and future ring. My advice keep it simple, then use the remaining money for house, wedding or vacation and commit to the larger more expensive later on. You will both find that the more simple ring combined with enhanced memories was better then just a larger more sparkly ring and nothing else.

PS.. Ben Moss is the best for customer service, maximizing uniquiness on budget and overall care for it's clients. Just my experience.
