If I'm not mistaken, it's the old Nickel Cadium (sp?) batteries you had to be careful with in terms of charging memory. The new Lithium Ion batteries don't have that problem but as others have said, you don't want to fully discharge Lithium Ion batteries, charge them before they have less than 1/4 power left. Other than that you can charge them whenever you want to.
