I didn't intend to make light of the value of the thread or the information in it. I don't think my comments did that.

I just believe that I have the right to choose where I live. I don't think I should feel guilty about not wanting to live in the high walk score areas of my city, which aren't fit for bringing up children.

Your comment about inefficiently built communitites should be expanded on. I think that is where the most gains can be made in the future.
No worries, I suspect we agree on most respects, but a little bit of 'discussion' can be fun too.

Many dense areas are not great for raising kids, but wouldn't it be great if they were?

While I don't know your area, many dense urban areas are great for families. Calgary has some room for improvement in this regard.
