there's a difference between getting passionate for politics, and people getting pushy about the whole thing, and I'm not just talking about this board.

Its not only the amount of hype, but the fact that the majority of the Nenshi supporters that I've talked to have been pushy beyond pushy.

I'm a sceptic by nature, but there's a difference between a policy statement and the execution of the policy statement. do his policies hit some of the points that I'm looking for? Sure, but to me this whole thing and maybe it was because of the pushiness of people trying, not to debate on the merits of the candidate, but outright push me to a candidate to the point where I just want them to shut the hell up, makes me worry about the execution.

To me one of the greatest campaigns that have ever been run were by Obama, and by JFK, they were saavy enough to study the voters, they catered their campaigns to their voters, won on hype and a mobilized group of believers to fuel the hype machine, and then really fell flat once they gained their desired position of power.

I could sit here and say that a lot of what Dr No is something that I agree with, but his previous conduct really puts me off, but to his credit, I haven't been pushed, and jabbed and cajolled by his supporters in the same way, so in a lot of ways I don't have that same overpromised and underdelivered gut instinct.
