This was a difficult deal to make as Rick Nash has been a mainstay on the Habs for over 1.5 seasons. He was the CPHL MVP last year but this year in pre-season and regular season he really struggled. We couldn't get him clicking and weren't sure what to do.

When MJK offered Kopitar for Nash, it made sense. Kopitar is a bit younger and I think he has a better chance to meet his projected pt totals; poor Nash hasn't had anybody to play with on the Blue Jackets ever.

Kopitar will start on the 2nd line with Toews and Vanek and we'll see if that line clicks. If not, expect more trades to come!
