For me it doesn't matter if the doctor is male or female as long as I trust them. I couldn't give a flying fata if my medical professionals are male or female (be it doctor, dentist, nurse, optometrist, or proctologist).

If I can't make a connection to trust what you're telling me, I don't want to dealing with my medical issues.

Male/female doesn't really matter. Be trustworthy and make a connection with me on some level, and be competent.
