So there are games that you can go back and play at any time. We all have them and love them; games like Final Fantasy 7, Super Mario Bros. (pretty much all of them) tend to be just as fun now when you go back to them? But what are some games that used to be great, but when you play them now you just can't figure out what you saw in it?

For it, Resident Evil 2 is a game like this. I just went back to playing it again today, and after two hours I couldn't take it. The graphics aren't the biggest deal, although they do suffer a lot more than Mario which didn't take the realistic route to begin with.

The controls are draconian and stunted. I've never had such a hard time figuring out how to go forward and turn at the very beginning of a game in my life. The clumsy aiming system was also a gigantic kick in the ass.

And on top of that, it seems easier than I remember it. The puzzles were just stupid easy now.

How about you? What are some games you've gone back and played and were just sad at how bad it was?
