They told us at the first meeting that there about 90,000 kids plauying minor hockey in Calgary. Only one child out of 90,000 will make it to the NHL. That means "fun" should be the main reason your child is in hockey. They also told us not to let hockey control your life, and to skip practices and games when you have other things going on.
It was interesting/sad to learn how many refs and coaches quit because of parent abuse.

do i need HC to tell me that my son should play hockey for "fun"? isnt that a "no poop sherlock" comment?
my son has been in hockey 5 years, i have never seen a parent display any of the so called issues these video's cover. i have however met many "association" insiders who are elitist, snobby and cliquey.
