This shouldn't be any surprise. Stuff like nanotechnology and photonics have been around for a while, and the ideas already thought up of, all it takes is tiem for the "fad" to catch on and for the product itself to be mass produced to cut down on costs.
Anyone know how these things are made? I'm thinking carbon nanotubes? But in that case, there are only a limited number of facilities that could manufactur this product, and currently, not in the masses until the mass production of the technology for carbon nanotube fabrication (or any type of nanotechnology is produced.
