Taking that deep threat out of the offence completely changes the way that a defence plays the Pats. Not only does it free up the top corner to jump on someone else, it also allows safeties to mug tighter, which changes both the passing and running game. That's not to say the Pats can't win without Moss, there's more than one way to be effective offensively, but it's a totally different dynamic now.

I don't think the result on Monday would have been different without Moss, the Dolphins special teams saw to that, but who knows, if Welker cant find space maybe some of those 3rd down conversions go the other way.
Exactly.

Some people are giving credit to the Pats special team so much, well geuess waht there is nothing special about hte pats special teams just yet and I don't think they will win you 16 games because your not playing Miamis special teams 16 times.

Miamis special teams have been dreadful since the preseason, that was 4 blocked punts in 8 games. BB knew that going in so he exploited it.

I think NE will win a fair share of there games as usual, but they just don't have that threat anymore and I am curious to see how guys like Welker will continue to be more open. If there is a way BB will find it. If there isn't we will know soon enough.
