Jobo, I think you need to draw up a diagram or 2 for the defensive end.... I'm guilty of it too, but we have a tendency to chase the puck and we end up having 2 or 3 people behind the net chasing one guy leaving one guy outnumbered in front of the net.... although I have seen it happen, most guys aren't going to score from behind the net

Also, maybe a diagram for the breakout.... I think short passes are best, having 3 guys in the zone for the breakout is best, give the defense options.... a guy on each half boards and one in the middle.... the long passes, although they work sometimes, get intercepted more often then not and while everyone is rushing forward the puck ends up going the other way and it's 2 on 1, 3 on 1 the other way.... we need more of a strategic breakout, rather then everyone just skate forward and hope the pass gets to them.... and, with all 5 guys in the zone on the breakout, it's easier to recover if there is a turnover.... not to say that we shouldn't try for the breakaway pass, but if they have 3 or 4 guys back it's really pointless.... be aggressive, but be smart about it, it's hockey sense.

Not to sound like Sutter, but we need to be more responsible and accountable in the defensive end.... and to stick up for our defense, but a lot of times they get hung out because the forwards just don't play smart enough in their own end, don't cover them when they pinch in the offensive end.... we should have 2 guys on the line to prevent an odd man rush, and the defense need to cover each other too, when one pinches the other should stay back just in case.

I think people need to take more pride in their +/- more so then how many goals they score.

Just some thoughts.
