This is the most depressing lost for the Stamps this season. It's not like BC Lions dominated the game all night. The only clear cut winner I think is the play of BC's special team on both ends. Davis can just run around all over the field untouched all night. He gave the Lions some good field position. For some reason our cover team forget how to tackle. On the other side, Deon Murphy is starting to remind me of Markus Howell. He hasn't been doing anything in the past few games. No explosion or anything. The blocking was awful as well.
I am not so sure if BC's defense played that great. Burris was clearly out-of-sync. He either overthrew an open receiver or underthrow.... worse yet he throws an INT. He seems to be undecided out there whether he throws the ball, hand in the ball to RB or run it himself. There's one instance that he could have handed the ball to Cornish instead of throwing the ball to Bryant. They got the first down on that play but Cornish was wide open and could have run the ball for a lot of yardage. When Burris ran the ball he fumbled. Then for some stupid reason, he lost a lot of yardage for a QB sack.
Our defense played well tonight. If it weren't for their play, the game could have been a blowout early in the first half. They only gave up 3 points instead of 7 in 5 occassions. I don't think BC Lions executed a big play all night except for 2. One with Paris Jackson and the other is with Jamall Robertson.
Stampeders will now play Montreal, Montreal and Saskatchewan in the next 3 games. I am not sure this is the time for them to make mistakes as Saskatchewan's horse-shoe in their butt are starting to work again. In the last 2 games, Saskatchewan won two lucky wins where the other teams suddenly started making mistakes in the last quarter.
