Im past that...I usually eat something before I go out if the host is someone new or unaware of my choice.
All of my good friends are aware and go out of their way to make me, and the rest of the guests, something veggie. Invariably it always ends up a pasta dish LOL.
It is amazing though at how little veggies are served at dinners, and those that are are usually soggy, overcooked or covered in a slew of cream sauce.
